Ergonomic evaluations and accommodations can go hand in hand as they are often recommended as a part of an accommodation plan. An ergonomic evaluation is a review of your workstation and may lead to a recommendation for an adjustment in worksite or work location. DMS helps with reasonable accommodations which are based upon disability or medical limitations/restrictions and the Ergonomics Department helps with ergonomic recommendations which are discretionary and may or may not be based on medical documentation.
If DMS makes a recommendation for ergonomic equipment as part of an accommodation plan, the department will purchase the equipment. For more information, please visit the following websites.
