Designed for department staff, advisors and administrators who work with international students.
The goal of the series is to give staff an overview of the international student population, the challenges faced by international students, the requirements that students must meet to stay in legal immigration status, and the basics of intercultural communication as it relates to the international student population.
To complete this certificate series, individuals must take four classes:
- Foundations for Understanding International Students
- Interacting Effectively with International Students and Scholars
- International Student Advising or International Student Advising — Graduate Students
