Designed for all staff and faculty who work with international students.
The primary goal of this series is to facilitate interactions with international student by helping you:
- Identify touch points
- Recognize your degree of involvement
- Understand necessary actions from referring to SISS to verifying information in the iGlobal system
- How to use the iGlobal system
- Understand the international student demographics and challenges they face
- Understand the basics of intercultural communication as it relates to the international student population
- Effectively implement intercultural communication skills as it relates to the international student population
To complete this certificate series, individuals must complete four classes total.
The two classes below are required:
- Foundations for Understanding International Students
- International Student Advising - Undergraduate Students or International Student Advising - Graduate Students
