Strategic Pathway Programming
Due to the unique positionality of our team within the talent acquisition function and part of the entire institutions HR structure, we are able to support both campuses in creating pathways that upskill external and internal candidates. We aim to stand up pathways programs that support institutional goals and help candidates go from outside-in to inside-up. In addition to the pathway programs listed below, our team is diligently collaborating with departments to formalize new and innovative pathways on both campuses.

Staff Employee Pathway for Neurodiverse Candidates
Our team worked to create a pathway to employment for our neurodiverse communities who participate in work experience programs at our institution. We partnered with Redwood Seed students and Best Buddies Project Search interns, and leveraged our relationship with UC Davis TES, to make it possible for departments to hire a project search intern or a Redwood Seed student after graduation from their program. This pathway was officially launched in June of 2025, and as of September 2025 we have 5 graduates who are already working in staff positions at UC Davis and UC Davis Health.

IT Service Desk Pathway Program
Launched in May 2023 and continuing through February 2024, the pilot provided the foundation for a career in IT to eight competitively selected participants from the larger Sacramento community.
