  • January:  New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • February:  President’s Day
  • March:  Cesar Chavez Day
  • May:  Memorial Day
  • June:  Juneteenth
  • July:  Independence Day
  • September:  Labor Day
  • November:  Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (2 days)
  • December:  Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve
     

Leave Accrual Rates

This table shows the rates at which an employee earns vacation and sick leave. A full-time employee who is paid monthly earns the amount shown under the number of working hours in the month. A full-time employee who is paid bi-weekly earns the amount shown under the number 160 /QW. A part-time employee earns the hourly accrual for each hour on pay status.

Monthly Accrual = (Working hours in month) x (Hourly factor)

Codes G, H, J, and K are staff employees hired before July 7, 1996 who were in the following groups:

  • Administrative & Professional Staff Program
  • Management & Professional (now known as Manager or Senior Professional)
