Bias, Antisemitism and Islamophobia Workshops

As part of the UCOP grant funding to address antisemitism, Islamophobia, and bias on our campuses, UC Davis is hosting workshops to promote community well-being. These trauma-informed sessions aim to empower faculty and staff with skills to address challenges collectively, fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment. New workshops will be added over the following weeks.

Coping with Grief, Loss and Change

This discussion/support group provides space for participants to share experiences of grief and loss, review strategies for coping and self-care, and find community.


Eldercare Support Group

Are you a caregiver for an elder in your life?

Please join Alison Ward, PsyD., Psychologist at ASAP who will facilitate a drop-in support group which meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. via Zoom.

Participants will have the opportunity to share personal experiences with eldercare, learn about resources in the community and obtain guidance on relevant topics.

Topics will include:

  • Coping with caregiver stress
  • Identifying compassion fatigue
  • Finding balance between caring for self and others
  • Connecting to community resources
  • Learning about ASAP services

Support Group for Neurodivergent Staff

This support group is for UC Davis Campus/Health Staff Employees* with challenges, tendencies, traits and/or diagnoses associated with, though not limited to: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Social (Pragmatic) Communication, Specific Learning Disorders (e.g. Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia). 

This is a caring space for Neurodivergent Staff at UC Davis to share ideas and support each other in utilizing strengths to cultivate: professional effectiveness; emotional well-being; mindful living; and interpersonal understanding. 

Participants are welcome to attend whichever sessions work with their schedules. While participants are encouraged to arrive on time, we also support participants in attending as time permits, whether they will arrive late or need to leave early.
