Alex Reyes serves as the Talent Acquisition Manager, leading a team of five to support high-volume recruitment efforts across 20+ college departments and support agencies at UC Davis Campus & satellite locations. He recently served as Associate Director, Career Development at the Graduate School of Management from June 2023-August 2024. At the GSM, he supported career and professional exploration for an MBA student body of 500+ across Full Time, Part-Time, and Online MBA programs through 1:1 Coaching, Career Programming, and Industry Partnerships. He also oversaw an operations team of four encompassing Data Integrity, Systems, Events, and Employer Engagement.

Prior to the GSM, he served seven years at Meta Platforms (aka Facebook) as a Global DEI Technical Recruiter and Program Manager for Veteran and Disability Inclusion. During his tenure at Meta Platforms, his DEI initiatives resulted in increasing Veteran representation by 200% YoY in 2019 as Veteran Recruiting Program Manager and adding 11K new candidates to the team’s Software Engineering talent pool through strategic programming as a Global DEI Technical Recruiter. 

With 17+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Alex’s core strengths are building teams, cultivating strategic partnerships, market research, strategic talent sourcing, & developing scalable programming focused on the candidate experience. Alex also comes to us with 13 years of military service from the United States Air Force Reserve to include two deployments overseas and a special duty tour as a First Sergeant in tandem with his recruiting career.

Alex earned his MBA in Strategy and Business Analytics from UC Davis Graduate School of Management in 2022. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, competitive VR gaming, and telling a good dad joke.
