UC Requires Flu Vaccination for Employees by Nov. 19

The University of California issued an Executive Order that requires all students and employees to get vaccinated against influenza or submit a declination form, if they will be living, learning or working on campus.

  • The deadline for receiving a flu vaccine or submitting a declination form is November 19, 2021.
  • We encourage all members of the campus community to receive a flu vaccine as early as possible.

The information below is for Davis Campus employees. Information for UC Davis Health employees will be posted shortly.

Take Action

Visit the Flu Vaccination Information page on the Campus Ready website for:

  • Flu vaccination FAQs
  • Submitting flu vaccination information or declination form
  • Benefits of getting the flu vaccination
For Those Not Accessing Campus

Even though an employee may not be accessing campus facilities at this time, the vaccination requirement is in place for the entire length of the 2021-22 flu season. If an employee needs to access campus facilities at any time during flu season, they must get a flu vaccination or submit the flu vaccine declination form by the Nov. 19 deadline.

Access to Flu Shots

All health insurance plans cover influenza vaccinations, though they may place restrictions on where a person can receive the shot for free. Academics and staff on the Davis campus should contact their health care provider to learn where to get their flu vaccine.

Due to limited supply, the Sacramento campus employee health vaccine clinic is only able to UC Davis Health employees. Employees and students are required to show a valid UC Davis Health badge to receive the vaccine.
