July 1st is a popular retirement date for many. If you are planning to retire soon or want to start planning for your retirement, here are some helpful resources:
Join a Preparing for Retirement Help Desk or General Benefits Office Hours via Zoom to ask your benefits and retirement questions in real-time.
Initiate the Retirement Process in UCRAYS as early as 90 days prior to your effective date of Retirement. Create your Personal Retirement Profile (PRP) by going to “Retirement” then “Initiate &Elect UCRP Retirement”, then “Create a New PRP”.
Attend webinars presented by the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC): UC Retirement System — Monthly Retirement Planning Webinars | UCnet (universityofcalifornia.edu).
Preparing for Retirement: cover topics such as understanding UCRP pension benefits, retirement savings and retiree health coverage.
Retiree Health Benefits: learn about the health plans available for UC retirees and their eligible family members.
The UC Retirement Process from Start to Finish: attend to learn everything you need to know about the retirement process, including required forms, important deadlines and helpful resources.
