Katie Wellman joined UC Davis as a Labor Relations Consultant in Employee and Labor Relations in February 2018. As a Labor Relations Consultant, Katie administers the grievance and complaint process, provides interpretation on contract and policy issues, and represents UC Davis during collective bargaining as well as administrative and arbitration hearings. Before becoming a Labor Relations Consultant, Katie worked for a year in Employee and Labor Relations as the Chancellor’s Legal Fellow, doing much of the same work as the Labor Relations Consultants. She also worked at an investigations law firm conducting workplace investigations on various issues including sexual harassment, retaliation, and discrimination. Katie graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Political Science and Legal Studies. She obtained her law degree from UC Davis where she was a member of the UC Davis Law Review and Trial Practice Honors Board.
