Search Begins for New Chief Human Resources Officer

Before the start of the 2018-19 academic year, we expect to hire a new Chief Human Resources Officer to implement HR’s strategic plan and ensure that we are prepared for the spring 2019 implementation of UC Path.

Recruiting a career CHRO with responsibility for managing HR’s people, processes and programs across all of UC Davis is an important step towards realizing our strategic goals. The CHRO will report to the Vice Chancellor – Finance, Operations and Administration with a dotted-line report to the Vice Chancellor – Human Health Sciences.

The Search is Underway
Isaacson, Miller is leading a nationwide search for our new CHRO. Karl Mohr is chairing our Recruitment Advisory Committee, which reflects the diversity of stakeholders HR serves. Through the hiring process we will also engage HR staff, partners and other stakeholders. The RAC anticipates inviting finalist candidates to the campus in mid-to-late July to meet members of the constituencies they will serve, so their input may be considered in making a final decision.

The incoming CHRO will build on HR’s new structure, which has positioned the organization and its employees to provide the leadership and support necessary to realize its mission.
