ScholarShare 529 is a nationally recognized college savings plan that allows you to invest specifically for future education expenses. See if it's right for you and your family in this informative webinar, presented by Jose Espinoza of TIAA-CREF and Employee Well-being.

Did you know? Funds can be used from your 529 savings plan to send your kids, grandkids, loved ones, or even yourself to any eligible public or private U.S. college or university—or two-year technical or vocational institution—as well as qualifying international institutions. Qualifying K-12 expenses and professional licenses and credentials are now also included.

Additional benefits:
  • UC offers automatic payroll contributions should you choose to enroll.
  • Contributions grow tax-deferred, and withdrawals are tax-free when the money is used for qualified expenses.
  • It's a great alternative to material gifts; share the gift code for your 529 plan(s) to friends and family members to contribute.
  • In California, ScholarShare 529 is administered by TIAA-CREF.
