Closing Out Aged Job Openings at UC Davis Health
Talent Acquisition at UC Davis Health is closing job openings that have been open for more than one year.
This effort will improve data accuracy and align with Workforce Management Program approvals, which remain valid for six months.
In addition to being open for over one year, these job openings show no recent departmental activity (no interviewing or screening) and may have marginal or unqualified applicant pools.
No Action Needed
Impacted hiring managers will be contacted directly no later than November 7, 2025 with a list of positions being closed and instructions for reinitiating recruitment once approved by the Workforce Management Committee.
Moving forward, Talent Acquisition will review job openings on a quarterly basis and close any that have been open for more than six months, in alignment with the Workforce Management Committee’s approval period. Hiring managers will be notified in advance of any planned closures.
Exceptions may apply for certain roles that are difficult to fill, highly specialized, or part of ongoing recruitment efforts (e.g., clinical or technical positions for which UC Davis Health recruits continuously). These positions may remain open beyond the six-month threshold, subject to review and justification.
