PCP Selection Issue During Open Enrollment
Important Update:
A system issue in the UCPath Open Enrollment module may prevent employees from exiting the medical coverage tile (for health insurance selection) without entering a Primary Care Physician (PCP) enrollment ID.
What You Need to Know
- You do not need to re-select your medical plan if you are not making a change to your health insurance.
- If you are planning to make a change to your Primary Care Provider (PCP), do this through Health Net directly, NOT as part of Open Enrollment through UCPath.
- If you are prompted, or required, to enter a PCP number, and you have a UC Davis Health Primary Care Provider, you may enter either your current PCP’s Enrollment ID (found under Show Details in the provider search tool) or you can enter nine 9’s (999999999) and click the existing patient box to move forward.
- This temporary workaround will not change your PCP. PCPs are not normally changed through the Open Enrollment process without a change of health plan.
After Open Enrollment
- If, after Jan. 1, your PCP appears different than expected on your health plan information, contact the member services number on the back of your card.
Deadline:
- Open Enrollment changes can be made until Friday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m.
