Year of Threes

In our third year on Forbes’ list, UC Davis is ranked #3 statewide among educational institutions and UC Davis Health ranked #3 in healthcare. Out of all employers in California, we outranked organizations like Apple and NASA, placing at #7 for UC Davis and #15 for UC Davis Health. 

Our success as a Best Employer in California is directly tied to the many efforts that have strengthened inclusivity across our organizations, earning us Forbes’ distinction as a Best Employer for Diversity and Best Employer for Women.

Chief among those efforts were the CommUNITY Feedback Survey and Staff Experience Survey, which revealed employees' very high likelihood of recommending their employer as a great place to work— one of Forbes’ criteria in their methodology.

 

Also relevant to Forbes were compensation packages and potential for development, which undergo continuous improvement thanks to Compensation Services in Human Resources. The Compensation Initiatives being rolled out this summer reaffirm UC Davis’ commitment to supporting internal movement and recognizing employees with fair, competitive pay for their hard work.
