Employee Experience Survey 2025: Recommendations and Actions

What Comes Next Following the Employee Experience Survey 2025.

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Employee Experience Survey and shared honest feedback.

When the survey results were released in September 2025, I explained that this feedback would help shape meaningful actions to improve the employee experience across UC Davis and UC Davis Health. Since then, managers have been encouraged to share and discuss results with their teams and develop local action plans.

In addition, colleagues from across the university have worked through advisory committees and an enterprise employee network to review organization-level feedback, identify common themes and develop recommendations for moving forward.

Recommendations

University leadership has approved these organization-level recommendations. The work ahead will focus on:

Davis Campus

  • Continuing to promote equal opportunity for advancement
  • Strengthening an inclusive and supportive culture
  • Enhancing career development opportunities

UC Davis Health

  • Enhancing confidence in leadership
  • Embracing patient safety culture
  • Improving work-life integration

This work is underway across UC Davis and UC Davis Health. In the months ahead, you will continue to learn more about actions taking place, improvements underway and opportunities informed by the feedback you shared.

I am grateful to everyone who participated in the survey and provided honest feedback to help enhance the employee experience. I also want to thank the members of our advisory committees and employee network for contributing their time and expertise throughout this process. I know this work is moving us forward, and I thank you for all that you do in support of our mission and community.
