I want to apply for the Graduate/Professional Student Community-Based Care Grant
PLEASE NOTE: Summer Grant Eligibility is based on 25% ASE/GSR appointments
(not 50% appointments). Sorry for any confusion any earlier handbook or fact sheet documents may have mentioned. (confirmed 7/2/2026)
We have streamlined the application process. There is now only ONE application, whether you are in a (1) self-supporting graduate program and not currently employed as a GSR/ASE AND have financial and situational need, OR (2) you are applying for both the GSCCG and the supplemental CBCG.
Select the application below, download the fillable PDF Form, and complete all sections. Sign and date the application, and then have your childcare provider sign and date the application. Save the fully executed application as a PDF document. Gather the supporting documents as listed on the application and follow the instructions below to submit your application securely
Application Submission Process:
Once your applications have been completed and signed by all parties and you have collected all your supporting documents, save everything to your computer as a PDF, or take photos of your documents using your phone.
We only accept applications through our Secure Submission Portal.
FOR YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY, DO NOT EMAIL YOUR MATERIALS
To ensure that your applications are received and tracked correctly, once you have accessed the submission portal (linked below), follow these guidelines EXACTLY when completing the submission form:
FROM: your UC Davis email address
SUBJECT: Application for your Last Name, First Name_Terms for which you are applying ("Smr" for Summer, "F" for Fall, "W" for Winter, and "S" for Spring. If applying for more than one term, please indicate which terms you are applying for; as an example, if John Franklin is applying for Winter and Spring, the subject line will read: Application for Franklin, John_WS)
MESSAGE: indicate your Student Status, Type of Childcare Provider, which grant you are applying for, and application items attached; for example: "I am a Medical Student and my childcare provider is my neighbor. I am applying for the CBCG for the academic year. Attached are my Graduate/Professional CBCG application, my child's birth certificate, my 2026-27 FAFSA Submission Summary PLUS my UC Davis MyAwards Summary page, and verification of employment for Adult 2 in the household."
You can also use this space to provide any additional information you believe is important for me to consider when processing your grant application.

The submission box is monitored:
Monday through Thursday from 7:30am - 5:00pm, and Friday from 7:30am - 11:30am
