Catered Meetings
Food
☐ Provide a vegetarian meal as the default option. If a meat option is offered, participants must opt in.
☐ Serve water/unsweetened teas the only beverage offered. Use pitchers over individual plastic bottles.
☐ When selecting one of UC Davis Approved Caterers, inquire about substituting items for healthier options such as fruit instead of chips.
☐ Seek items that meet Nourish guidelines through Olive and Vine Menu.
☐ Become more familiar with Nourish guidelines
☐ Place fruit and vegetables at the beginning of the lunch line or in the front on the snack table.
☐ Confirm any food allergies or special dietary requirements and make sure these are covered.
☐ Avoid food waste and help with portion control by using 9" plates.
☐ Request dressings and condiments be placed to the side for self-service.

☐ Schedule move and stretch for 1-2 minutes, for every hour of seat time.
☐ Select a couple of different stretches to do during the move break. Insert a slide into Powerpoint deck for a reminder.
☐ Try playing a Healthy UC Davis WakeBreak video! These instructor-led stretch videos range from 4 to 15 minutes.

Mindfulness
☐ Share an electronic agenda prior to the meeting.
☐ During the first couple of minutes of the meeting invite participants to take a deep breath, lower their gaze and be silent. Schedule this in! Simply inhale for four seconds, hold it for seven seconds, and exhale for eight seconds.
☐ Establish group norms to help attendees have clear expectations about how to engage in discussions.
☐ Take a few moments to allow individuals to check-in by introducing questions such as, how are you?
