The background check policy applies to employees in positions that are designed as critical. These can include career, limited appointment, contract, and casual-restricted (student assistant) employees. The program applies to all represented and non-represented staff in the Senior Managers (SMG), Managers and Senior Professionals (MSP) and Professional and Support Staff (PSS) programs.
California’s Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (“CANRA”) requires employers, including the University, to identify “Mandated Reporters” (individuals required to report observed or suspected child abuse or neglect to designated law enforcement or social service agencies) and secure, as a condition of employment, acknowledgement of their status and reporting obligations.
The PPSM Compensatory Time Notification form is used to document the employee's agreement that the department can choose whether to compensate premium overtime with pay or compensatory time off. The CX, SX, F3, TX, RX or HX Compensatory Time Agreement form is used to document the employee's annual agreement on a method of compensation.
