Job Vacancies to Post in Career Tracks Titles - Sept. 15

UC Davis is moving closer to its December 2017 implementation of the systemwide Career Tracks classification system for non-represented staff. This effort involves moving non-represented positions (excluding student, academic personnel and senior management) from a legacy payroll title to a Career Tracks title. To prepare for implementation, starting Sept. 15, HR’s Talent Acquisition team will work with hiring authorities and HR Business Partners to post new, non-represented positions in Career Tracks titles.

Potential Scenarios

  • Existing vacancies, with a closing date after September 15 - These postings will not be changed unless there is a need to repost the position. Non-represented staff hired into legacy titles will be converted to Career Tracks titles following their start date.
  • Vacancies posted without a closing date (i.e., open until filled) - These postings will be assigned a closing date of Sept. 29, 2017. If the recruitment needs to be extended, the HR Talent Acquisition partner will work with the HR Business Partner and hiring authority to determine a strategy, which may entail reposting the position in a Career Tracks title.
